Our Center participates in Maryland EXCELS which is a Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS). A QRIS is a framework used to recognize, assess, improve and communicate the level of quality in early childhood and school-age care and educational settings. QRIS are used to raise the quality of care and education and to support and improve children’s development and teacher competences. A QRIS awards ratings to center and family-based child care and school-age child care settings that meet increasingly rigorous high standards of quality in key areas.
