Hope Grows Summer Camp is bursting with creativity, curiosity, and connection for children of all ages from preschoolers to school-age adventurers. With age-appropriate activities tailored to each group, every child will have their own unforgettable summer experience.
For Preschoolers (Ages 3–4)
- Sensory-rich art projects like salt-paint pineapples and rainbow fish
- Weekly water play days for fun and cooling off
- Simple STEM experiments like walking water and color mixing
- Puppet shows and story-driven performances
- Music, movement, and circle time activities
- Safe, exciting field trips to places like Hyper Kidz and Chuck E. Cheese
- Cooking fun like rainbow grilled cheese and animal sugar cookies
- End-of-summer Luau and farewell celebration
For Pre-K (Ages 4–5)
- Creative hands-on projects like volcano painting and open-ended seashell art
- STEM and math play: erupting pineapples, sensory bins, counting games
- Water play every week to beat the summer heat
- Cooking sessions making fruit kabobs, upside-down cake, and pizza
- Engaging field trips to The Great Zucchini, Imagination Stage, and Blue Sky Puppets
- Social development through group games, sorting, and themed lessons
- Farewell party with card signing and special send-off for rising kindergarteners
For School-Aged Kids (K and up)
- Themed weekly adventures: Animal Planet, Nature, Underwater Worlds, Space & more
- Field trips to the Maryland Zoo, Botanic Gardens, National Aquarium, and more
- Weekly pool days at Kingsview and epic foam parties
- Cooking projects like quesadillas, cupcakes, and full chicken dinners
- Group games, soccer, science experiments, and LEGO build challenges
- Arts and crafts, dioramas, boat races, and tie-dye days
- Big finale trips to Urban Air, Laser Tag, and the Maryland Science Center!
All three Hope Grows locations - Lost Knife, Century Boulevard, and Frederick Road - offer the full camp experience.
